Responsibilities

The role will work closely with Finance & Accounts and IT teams (both internal and external) to implement a cloud application that supports a full spectrum of Finance & Accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, trust accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, etc; and also other financial applications.

 

  • Lead and manage the new LPMS and other financial applications implementation and rollout across China and Hong Kong firms
  • Consolidate customization requirements from each team that optimizes overall functional needs
  • Coordinate implementation activities such as data migration, testing and training    
  • Identify and oversee application integrations process
  • Develop data migration requirements and support data reconciliation  
  • Design test cases and scripts for testing and review testing results to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Keep track of project status, timelines and identify important milestones.
  • Present regular updates to leadership, including key achievements, challenges and recommendations  
  • Liaise with global and local support teams to harmonize the implementation process
  • Collaborate with IT teams (global and local) to resolve functional issues throughout the implementation and post go-live
  • Ensure applications comply with regulatory standards and internal protocols throughout the implementation phase
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the cloud implementation
  • Prepare documentation and operation manual for users and administrators
  • Liaise to arrange trainings for various group of users
  • Manage and document change requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives
  • Able to handle different requirements requested by users and provide best practice and mediate conflicts

Qualifications / Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • Professional accounting qualifications are required
  • At least 10 years of related project management and accounting experience, preferably in legal firm or professional service industry would be essential
  • Experience in Finance and Accounting application implementation
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and without supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and vendors
  • Proven ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese a must
