Responsibilities

An excellent opportunity for an experienced graduate recruiter to join a dynamic and result-oriented team. To support graduate recruitment activities in Asia, including promoting our gradate recruitment programs, developing our profile in the market and attracting the right talent to join the Firm.

 

  • Work closely with the Graduate Recruitment Partners on all graduate recruitment related matters, including advising on recruiting strategy, assessment tools, trainee solicitor performance and retention
  • Plan and execute promotion activities, including on campus workshops, open house events, HK Law Fair, UK Law Fairs; develop and maintain strong relationship with Law Schools, career advisors, relevant student associations in both UK and Hong Kong
  • Responsible for hiring interns, including screening applications, conducting assessments, interview scheduling, etc; system administrator for our graduate recruitment applicant tracking system
  • Manage our Internship programs in Hong Kong, including budgeting, events, practice group allocation, buddy allocation, performance evaluation and assessments for training contracts
  • Responsible for trainee solicitor seat rotation and manage secondment arrangements with our international offices
  • Work closely with the L&D team to support the development of our trainee solicitors during their two year training contract
  • Drive the internal newly qualified (NQ) solicitor recruitment process together with the Senior HR Manager, Recruitment and Graduate Recruitment Committee; ensure smooth transition from trainee to NQ
  • Responsible for on-boarding and off-boarding logistics of interns, students and trainees; keep in touch with our future trainees from point of offer to start of the training contract
  • Support our diversity and inclusion programs and continue to develop our widening access to the legal profession initiatives
  • Participate in global graduate recruitment initiatives and share best practice with colleagues in other offices
  • Other ad hoc projects as required

Qualifications / Person Specification

  • University graduate with minimum 5 year's relevant experience in sizeable / international organisations
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Organized, detail-minded, pro-active, self-motivated and independent
  • Professional and confidential demeanour
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and recruitment systems
