An exciting opportunity for a legal secretary to join our Insurance Litigation Group firm and provide full secretarial service to the Partners and Associates. Mayer Brown has one of the leading global insurance industry practices, representing nearly 400 insurers and insurance-related entities in transactional, regulatory and dispute resolution matters.


  • Provide full secretarial support to lawyers
  • Provide responsive and professional support service; have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to team work
  • Responsible for locating files and maintaining good files records
  • Manage lawyers’ calendar and arrange meetings
  • Assist in drafting letters and preparing presentation materials

Qualifications / Person Specification

  • Formal secretarial training
  • Minimum 3 years' legal secretarial experience from well-regarded legal firms
  • Experience in EC/PI matters is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese; knowledge in Mandarin an advantage
  • Strong computer skills including English and Chinese typing
  • Strong sense of responsibility; excellent organisation skills
  • Self-motivated and efficient; able to work independently and under pressure
