Qualifications / Person Specification

  • UK or Commonwealth PQE 2-3, or Singapore PQE 4-5.
  • Minimum strong 2:1 law degree and above from a reputable school.
  • Relevant international arbitration experience from a leading law firm across a range of sectors and geographies.
  • Excellent English drafting and presentation skills.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure, with good interpersonal, team-working and client management skills.
  • Experience of international arbitrations in the construction and engineering and energy sectors; or experience in investment treaty arbitration and/or public international law would be a plus.
  • Oral advocacy experience or aptitude (including in a litigation context) would be a plus.
  • Demonstrable business development aptitude would be a plus.
  • Second working language proficiency and cross-cultural experience and affinities would be a plus.
  • Mix of common and civil law experience or exposure would be a plus.
  • Investigations experience would be a plus.
