  • Excellent opportunity to be an Associate of a renowned, highly-ranked Shipping Finance practice covering the Asia-Pacific region
  • Work closely with partners, associates and transaction officers on a variety of shipping finance and other transactions in the region
  • Provide advice, manage transactions and discuss transaction documents with clients
  • Drafting and/or revising or reviewing financing and leasing documents, including facility agreements, sale and purchase and bareboat charter agreements and other typical finance and security documentation
  • Participate in business development and similar activities

Qualifications / Person Specification

  • Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales, Singapore or Australia or other reputable common law jurisdiction(s)
  • At least 4 years’ PQE with a well-regarded law firm practicing shipping finance or other asset finance
  • Fluent English and Mandarin required. Cantonese (or another Asian language) would be helpful, but not essential
  • Strong prior experience in ship financing and leasing
  • A team player with a “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hardworking, efficient and able to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
